Lee Tuchman

Lee Tuchman, Esq. of Hassan, Hassan, and Tuchman is a Maryland workers’ compensation lawyer.  In the time period measured by the Comp Pinkbook, Tuchman obtained 226 PPD or CO awards on behalf of clients.  PPD, also known as a stip or stipulation, stands for permanent partial disability and keeps the comp case open.  A CO award, standing for compromise, is a final settlement, effectively closing the comp case (or at least closing various aspects of the case).

Tuchman’s three most common injuries were back injuries, followed by shoulder, then hands injuries.  Lee Tuchman also boasts the third largest final settlement award on a leg injury workers’ comp case, as measure by the Comp Pinkbook.  The award was for more than $138,000 against Home Sales Company Incorporated.  The case was also against the Subsequent Injury Fund, represented by Sophia Swope.  In part because of the large award, Tuchman had the highest average final settlement for leg cases of all Maryland comp attorneys.

Lee Tuchman’s three most common opponents include the Mayor and the City Council of Baltimore, the State of Maryland, and the MTA or Maryland Transit Administration.  The Comp Pinkbook also lists Tuchman as having cases against Cloverland Farms Dairy, The Chimes, Future Care and Health Management, Transcare Maryland, and the Board of Education of Charles County.  Tuchman’s offices are in Baltimore, not far from the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
